Yo gamers!  Borealis here!

In my last devlog, I unveiled one of the secret projects I've been working on - the vocal cover I'd recorded for the 'A Whisker Away' AMV.  This week, you're getting another treat - secret project #2 is going public!

If you read the original secret projects devlog, you'll remember that I mentioned being commissioned to create part of the soundtrack for an upcoming visual novel, but I couldn't reveal any further details.  That's not the case anymore, so grab your mugs, people - here's the tea!

Created by Shotglass Studios, 'Eisai' is a visual novel currently in development.  It's a relatable tale about self-discovery, connecting with new friends and lovers, and the often tumultuous journey from adolescence to adulthood.  In its story, the academically gifted protagonist, Shun, finds himself at a crossroads after graduating school - should he apply to university and continue to hone his talents, or should he give in to his internal struggles and let that opportunity pass him by?  After an emotional talk with a former teacher, and a re-evaluation of his home life and personal issues, Shun decides to take the plunge - a future at university awaits him.  What adventures will he experience there?  What potentially important people will come into his life?  With your choices to guide him, he won't just learn the curriculum - he'll learn about himself, too.

Inspired by the incredibly influential visual novel 'Katawa Shoujo', 'Eisai' will feature seven original music tracks written and recorded by yours truly - Borealis!  The game looks like it's gonna be awesome, and now has communities on Itchio and Reddit for you to join and get involved in as it nears completion!  Speaking of which, here's some links for ya!

Well, now it's out there!  Just one secret project left to unveil, but I'm afraid this last one will take a long time!  Never fear, though - Borealis is always chipping away at something creative, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates, and please follow and support 'Eisai' as Shotglass Studios work their magic to complete it!
