Happy Friday, game lovers!  Borealis here!

I have two fun things to show you this week!  One relates to this Venus: Improbable Dream secret project, and the other is a brand new song from yours truly!  Let's start with some good old Venus content, shall we?

Near the beginning of the month, I shared a snippet of a WIP sketch for some new Venus artwork, and since then, some progress has been made with the rest of the project!  Without giving too much away, we've been focusing on the in-game GUI and menu screens, and I've got some promising screenshots of the work so far.  Some of the menu sliders, in particular the audio settings, now incorporate the game's signature treble clef motif!  Let me show you how it looks! 

Here's a before and after shot of the music volume slider; while the old one was a simple slider, the new one is a set of treble clefs!

What do you think of this change?  Does it make the setting clearer?  Once we've finished these menu tweaks, there'll be a playtesting period as we ensure that our other changes run smoothly -  I can't wait to be able to show you more sneak peeks when they become available!

In other non-Venus related news, let me grace your ears with that song I mentioned!  I'm part of a chiptune community on Reddit, as I've previously said, and we've done a big collaboration piece!  The track I'm treating you to today is my part of it, and it's super kawaii!  Made with my trusty 1989 Game Boy, as well as vocals and a few little extras, it's a cute, upbeat track about a sentient computer chip that's installed into the navigation system of a spaceship - and he can't wait to blast off into space!  With bleeps, bloops and robotic vocals, it's bound to put a smile on your face!  Click the artwork below to hear it!
