Today is a big day, gamers!  It's Borealis here, to share some awesome news!

2021 brought the arrival of many things; Venus: Improbable Dream made it to PC, Mac and consoles, and I also provided the soundtrack for the brilliant pixel horror puzzle game Dark Sheep.  2022 is going to be no different, with lots of new content from yours truly, and today, we're kicking it off in style!  A brand new visual novel has just released today, and I created its soundtrack!  Let me give you the lowdown!

Eisai is a slice of life/romance, coming-of-age visual novel that's highly relatable; it explores new adulthood, and the trials and tribulations of leaving home and learning how to take the wheel of your own life.  In its story, a troubled but very academically bright young man, Shun Takamine, makes the huge decision to leave everything he knows behind and move across Japan to attend Inou University, having landed himself a place on their prestigious Eisai honours program.  He's hoping that this massive change will give him a chance to shed his past, and reinvent his aloof, lonely persona - to make some friends and become a different person.  However, Shun quickly learns that it's not quite as simple as that, and in order to really learn who he is and find the people who truly matter to him...  he's going to have to let go of his insecurities and embrace the unknown.

Eisai has been lovingly made by Shotglass Studios, a small team of artists, writers, Redditors and gamers who came together to tell a story.  With four possible endings, fully illustrated artwork, an emotive and enjoyable soundtrack (even if I do say so myself...  ehehe~!) both tear-jerking and hilarious moments, and a premise that everyone can relate to in some way, it's a heart-warming and effective piece of work.  Taking on Shun's life, what decisions will you make for him?  Will you take a leap of faith and face your struggles, or will you shy away and miss out?  Friendship, self-discovery and even love awaits you!
